Subaru Heritage Program - New Engine Hint? - 900 mile 2004 STI for sale

Here is what is in the SubaNews for the last week of February 2026.

It looks like Subaru is expanding their Heritage program to more parts, and more cars.  They even have a form to request parts for your car!  But this is only on the Subaru Japan site so far.  Should Subaru of America be doing this as well?  And other than the Impreza, what other cars should Subaru open up to the Heritage program?

Subaru has confirmed that they are working on a new IC Engine, and we may have gotten a glimpse of it in the latest Subaru Motorsports USA Cat Meme video from the weekend....  We take a deep dive to tell you what we think this is.

Last but not least, there is a 2004 STI with only 880 miles up for auction on Cars and Bids right now!  With a couple of days left, the high bid is about $67,000.  Is this a good price for this pristine 2004 STI?  Will it go even higher?  With all of that value coming from the low mileage though, could you even drive this car?
