VIDEO: Why we like the MAP DCCD Controller
Flatirons Tuning Tech Tip - Why we like the MAP DCCD Controller
We recently installed a MAP DCCD Controller into our 2014 WRX Race Car when we swapped in an STI 6-Speed Transmission. We were very impressed with its function and capability, so we wanted to put together a video about all that this little box can do.
One thing we ran into was that getting the vehicle speed and engine RPM is a bit more tricky in the CANBUS cars (2008+), but we did manage to figure that out.
These signals can be captured behind the gauge cluster, and on our 2014 WRX, they were the following wires:
Engine RPM - Gray with Red Stripe in Pin #32
Vehicle Speed - Pink with Green Stripe in Pin #31
Check the PIN out for your specific car in the gauge cluster, but they may be the same for you.
Thanks for watching, and if this helped, please leave a like.
