There is a pretty darn good chance that if you have gone beyond the most basic of power modifications on your car, you have had it on a Dyno at least once to see what the results were, and maybe you have done a full tune or more. If your car has been on a Chassis Dynamometer, most likely you have a printout of the results.

But what does that graph mean? And what kind of information can you get when you put your car on a Dyno beyond just your basic torque and horse-power numbers?

In the right hands, a Chassis Dyno can be one of the most useful tools you can use not only to tune your car, but to see exactly what the engine is doing in a wide variety of loads and conditions. In short, to make sure that you are making as much power as possible, and safely.

For this installment of Tech Talk, we worked with Harvey Epstein of The Boostcreep ltd to go through the process of putting a car on the Dyno, and to walk us through all of the things that you can see and measure with a Dyno session to make sure that you are getting all of the information that you need.

Thanks to Harvey Epstein for talking with us!
