Last weekend, the Flatirons Tuning Rally Team competed in Prescott Rally, just outside of Prescott Arizona. This was the first Rally event that they have competed in since the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, so a lot of work had to be done to the car to get it back into Rally Trim. This was also only the second race for the new Father and Daughter team of Scott and Elizabeth Crouch, and was the first night Rally that Elizabeth had Co-Driven for.

The Rally started off well, and Scott was happy with all of the adjustments that were made to the car. With the car running well, Scott and Elizabeth were able to focus on the business of running each stage, and getting into a rhythm as a team. "There were lots of high-speed crests, 5's and 6's. I'm still learning to trust her calls from the notes and would ask her to repeat them 2 or 3 times", teased Scott.

Elizabeth adapted very quickly to the night stages and the lack of visibility, and Scott was very consistent in the car, and the team finished the day solidly in the middle of the pack.
Day two started off without a hitch, and the Flatirons Tuning #429 was consistently fast, and started moving up the field. During the main service Preston Osborn noticed that one of the front axle boots had been torn, but with no time to repair it during the short service, the decision was made to run with it as it was, and it did not cause further issue.

The main concern for the day was that it looked like the team was going to run out of fuel. Lead tech Preston Osborn was able to throw together a few more gallons of fuel for the last service made up of a few gallons of pump gas, and a couple other bottles of additives he found at the local gas station. "I'm pretty confident that we would have been fine if we poured it in... But I'm glad that we didn't have to use it" Preston said.

At the end of the race, the Flatirons Tuning Rally Team finished 8th overall, and just off the podium in their class. Scott and Elizabeth had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed the Prescott Rally, and are already looking forward to coming back next year.
