VIDEO: A discussion of NASA Time Trials, Grid Life, and Pikes Peak Time Attack
If you have a car that you have been working on for a while and modifying, maybe you have been wanting to take it to the track. Or maybe you have been to the track a couple of times all ready.
If so, there is a pretty good chance that after you have spent a little time at the track, and turned some good laps, you might start wondering what all you can do with your car that lets you compete and see how you stack up to other cars and other drivers.
SCCA Auto-Cross has been around for a long time, and this is probably one of the first things that would come up in a search.
And of course, you can put a cage in your car, and try full wheel to wheel racing, but that can be expensive to say the least.
So is there anything in between?
It turns out that there are a number of other good options out there, but they might not be as well known as something like Auto-Cross.
We sat down with Ryan and Jeanette from DSX Motorsports and Scotty from Flatirons Tuning to talk about NASA Time Trials, Pikes Peak Time Attack, and Grid Life.
Hopefully this gives you some good ideas of other ways that you can drive at speed, and work on your driving skills while having fun at the same time.
