Subaru profits way down and Toyoda out at Toyota???
There are a handful of big News Stories that are coming out this week about Subaru, Toyota, and Honda.
Namely that all of their Profits are down, with Subaru leading the way with a projected drop of 70% to their profits for the 2025 Fiscal year. Honda is projecting a 60% reduction in profit as well.
Both are largely impacted by the tariffs that both manufacturers are paying.
Toyota has been selling more cars, but their profits are also down, enough for them to make a change at the CEO position.
Akio Toyoda is out as the CEO of Toyota, and he is being replaced by Kenta Kon who was previously their CFO. What will this mean for the GR line of cars?
Last but not least, a couple of longstanding brake brands are likely going away. Stoptech, Centric, and Raybestos have all stopped production, and it looks like all 3 brands are being dissolved. They were all tied up in the trouble that First Brands Group had at the end of last year unfortunately.
We dive into these stories in this episode, but let us know what you think this could all mean.
