How Auto Parts Tariffs are effecting Parts Prices
Tariffs are definitely a topic of a lot of discussion currently, specifically about the reciprocal tariffs that were being applied to roughly 60 countries, most significantly China.
There has also been a lot of discussion about the 25% tariff that applies to vehicles that are built outside of the US.
It turns out that there was also a 25% tariff put into place as part of the vehicle tariff that specifically applies to auto parts as well though, and that is not getting much attention.
One thing is for sure, all of these elements are about to have a significant impact on auto parts prices. Some of them are all ready.
Manufacturers are scrambling as we are to figure out what this all means, and what we need to do to try to stay ahead of these changes.
We were just about to start recording this video as President Trump announced that the reciprocal tariffs were going to be reduced to all countries other than China for instance.
Things are changing quickly, and we wanted to at least give you a picture of what is going on currently, and why you will likely start to see some changes coming in terms of parts pricing.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
