Does an STI have to be an STI?

When the new 2022 WRX was revealed, it was enough of a change from the VA WRX that we weren't quite sure what to think of it.  The new engine had promise, but the looks weren't quite what we were expecting.  And word that there was not going to be an STI on this chassis didn't help either.

But we have been working on and playing with our 2022 WRX project car for a bit now, and it may actually be the best WRX in factory trim ever.  It is just fun to drive, and the engine and handling are really, really good.
The only areas lacking are the brakes, and the drive-train, and that has sparked a question.

Does an STI have to be an STI?

The last WRX had Brembo brakes as an option, and Subaru could easily make those an option again.  And since they have an STI drive-train as well that they could easily put into this new WRX, what if they did?
What if they made a WRX TS (TS meaning Tuned by STI like the BRZ TS).

Since the WRX GT is all ready in the price zone of the STI ($13,000 more than the base WRX), what if Subaru added another trim level in that range that had a few of the much needed parts from the STI?
Would that be good value for the money?
