Cooling changes to our WRX Race Car for the 2021 Pikes Peak Hill Climb
The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is a race that takes place in a truly unique environment. With a start line that is at 9,000 feet of elevation and a finish line just above 14,000 feet of elevation, the race will put a lot of unique stress on a race car. One that we have always struggled with on our car is the cooling system.
We had a great run in 2020, but our car still over heated in the last few miles which still cost us a good bit of time. As we are getting ready to run in the 2021 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, we have decided to make every possible change that we can to maximize the efficiency of the cooling system in the hopes that we can get a full run in without having any cooling issues.
The key components of that change are a Killer-B Radiator, AEM Water Sprayer, and a whole lot of ducting for the radiator.
For this video we go through those details for you in the hopes that some of the improvements we have made might help you with your project car.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
