Reduce Flex

Your brake pedal is connected to the thin sheet metal firewall which flexes as you apply the brakes. The firewall is not stiff enough to deal with the constant repeated forces while applying the brakes. The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace creates bridge betweem the firewall, master cylinder,and the shool tower, significatly reducing flex in the firewall while braking.

Stiffen Brake Pedal Feel

The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace significantly reduces flex at the firewall, so you get solid brake pedal feel with every application of the brakes. This is very noticeable while under eavy braking and even slowing for a stop sign. The difference can immediately be felt after installation.

Design

The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace is design to attach strategically to multiple points on the shock tower. This helps reduce flex in the brake master cylinder by creating a solid connection between it and the chassis. To further aid in stiffening or tightening up this connection, included is an adjustable acrew that allows tension to be preloaded on the master cylinder.

Construction

The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace for 2008-2014 WRX / STI is contructed of CNC Machined 6061 aluminum, and CNC fromed steel. This combination of different materials are used to add extra support compared to other systems. Making this from two CNC parts instead of a series of welded steel pieces, keeps the part extremely stiff as well as very light.

Finish

The aluminum portion of the Perrin Master Cylinder Brace for 2008-2014 WRX / STI is anodized black with a bold Perrin logo laser engraved into the upper surface. The steel section is wrinkled powder coated in your choice of red or black match your other Perrin parts. Perfectly combines an aesthetic improvement to you engine bay as well as braking feel!
