The HKS "FineTune" belt has been designed with performance in mind. Featuring an improved tooth design enabling better seating into the cam gears, the belt has been manufactured with high saturations of HNDB for added strength, heat resistance, and load strength, yet with less stretch and warp tendancies.
The HKS Timing Belt is constructed with Aramid Fiber + Nylon Fiber for increased sheer strength, and High Strength glass cord for increased shear resistance.
HKS also uses an optimal tooth patern to ensure maximum engagement with the cam teeth to reduce stress on the timing belt as well.
According to HKS, this design gives 4 times greater heat resistance, shear resistance, and 4 times better longevity than the OE belt.
Rib load strength is also 3 times greater than the OE belt.
